For a school homework assignment in June, we had to purchase a fast food burger from anywhere that we wanted. The goal? Wait 30 days to see if there was any change. Lot’s of my social media followers though I was going to EAT it…NOPE! The goal here was to see if there was any change after a certain amount of days. We were instructed to look for decay, mold, change…ANYTHING.
I found that the burger did not mold or decay. It still looks exactly the same 39 days later after I purchased it. It is hard as a ROCK and half of it is glued together, but the most scary part of the experiment may just be that this burger was ordered from the kids menu! Yep, my friends, I ordered this burger on June 11th, 2018 from the Dairy Queen kids menu.
A homemade burger probably would’ve shown some decay or mold growth after 3 days but I saw nothing of the sort with this burger. The flies that somehow entered my kitchen from outside, didn’t even swarm this burger. Insects wanted nothing to do with this. So here we are 39 days later and I’m ready to toss this thing! I’ve completely forgotten about it and it’s been sitting on my countertop for far too long lol. Sayonara!
So what do you think of this experiment?
Does it make you think twice about eating fast food? I’d love to hear in the comments!
I don’t believe one needs a nutrition degree to conclude that this is NOT normal and consuming fast food on the regular can only do harm to our insides!
