CBD Infused Chocolate Bars

LRG_DSC02565I was inspired to make my own CBD Infused Chocolate Bars and Candies after seeing the price tag of a company that sells CBD Infused Chocolate Bars…$24.99 for ONE bar and over $30 for a ‘extra strength’ bar. Yikes. Not to mention that there is no guarantee that after they are shipped, they would arrive to me unmelted. I live in the South and it is still in the 90s/high 80s!

After looking on amazon I found two different candy molds that I purchased.

Candy Bar Mold

Chocolate Candy Mold

These are easy to make and the silicone molds make it even easier for the chocolate to set and be removed.

Ingredients:

4 droppers (75 ml each) of CBD Oil (I use Evo Hemp’s 500mg)

1 cup dark chocolate chips (I use this brand)

2 tbsp coconut oil

Directions:

  1. In a double-broiler, melt the chocolate chips, CBD oil and coconut oil until smooth. I don’t have a double broiler but in a small saucepan I add about a cup of water and use a smaller glass bowl that fits inside the saucepan. Once the water is on a low simmer I add the chocolate, CBD and coconut oil into the glass bowl. I melt it slowly so it doesn’t burn. You could do this in the microwave in small increments of time but I am horrible at melting chocolate that way haha!
  2. Pour your melted chocolate mixture into each mold and freeze for at least 30 mins (or until chocolate has set/hardened). This amount can make about 3 candy bars.
  3.  Remove chocolate from molds and eat! Store candy in an airtight container in the fridge. LRG_DSC02564

I personally made 2 chocolate candy bars and used the rest of the chocolate to make 7-8 almond butter cups in the other candy mold I purchased! I used an almond butter from costco. I filled up each mold halfway and added a pea size amount of almond butter (sometimes larger) into each mold. This doesn’t have to be perfect! I topped the rest of each almond butter cup with melted chocolate. I then froze the mold for 30 mins and then removed each almond butter cup into another container.
